What Is the TITAN ASA™ Anti-Scour Apron?
TITAN ASA™ is a geotextile apron panel with anchor tubes on one or more edges to hold the apron in place. TITAN ASA™ is installed beneath the toe of a coastal structure. Scour — erosion of bed material beneath the toe — is one of the primary failure mechanisms for geotextile bag and tube coastal structures. A structure built to survive hurricane storm surge can be undermined by the tidal currents that run every day. TITAN ASA™ extends the protection layer to the seafloor and stops scour before it compromises the foundation.
