About Us
Flint Technical Geosolutions
Flint Technical Geosolutions (FTG) conceptually designs and fabricates custom geosynthetic systems for the most technically demanding environmental and civil projects in the world. Sludge and sediment dewatering. Coastal erosion protection. Dredged material management. Wastewater solids containment. Contaminated lagoon closure. Six continents. Thirty years.
Every FTG product is fabricated to project specifications — fiber type, weave pattern, tensile properties, circumference, length — specified, cut, seamed, and fabricated at FTG’s facility in Metter, Georgia. That design-led approach is what makes FTG the team you call when the project demands more than standard products deliver.

Company History
1995
Founded
Flint Industries started with sludge cap reinforcement — designing reinforcement fabric systems for safe lagoon and pond closure.
2004–2007
Expanded
The company moved into geotextile tube dewatering in 2004 and added coastal tube products in 2007. Dewatering now accounts for more than 80% of FTG’s project volume.
2020
FTG Formed
Flint Industries and international partner FTG Group merged to form Flint Technical Geosolutions — one unified global platform.

Our Expertise
121 years of accumulated experience & knowledge. That’s FTG’s competitive advantage — and no one else comes close. How polymer chemistry interacts with a given fill material. How to stack tubes four tiers high with full structural integrity. How to recover coal fines that an entire industry wrote off as waste. That knowledge comes from the ground up — project by project — formalized into the only proprietary geosynthetic tube certification program in the industry. Available through FTG alone.
Global Reach
Regional offices in North America, Latin America, and South Africa. Active & pending projects in Canada, Brazil, France, Mexico, Panama, South Africa, Morocco, the UAE, Peru, Nigeria, Cameroon, India, Turkey, and beyond.
FTG is the only geosynthetic tube company with technical expertise in Africa — specifically trained & certified for the applications we serve. Products fabricated in Metter, Georgia. Shipped globally through the Port of Savannah.
FTG has completed hundreds of projects across continental USA and Canada. Here are some of our featured projects.
Our Team
4
Offices
3
Continents
FTG’s team spans four offices across the globe — Metter, Georgia; Mexico City, Mexico; Cape Town, South Africa; and Gauteng, South Africa — and brings together a depth of expertise that most geosynthetic firms simply don’t have. Master-level engineers, geologists, textile technology specialists, coastal engineers, certified wetland delineators, ports and harbor specialists, commercial divers, mining specialists, civil and construction contractors, and professionals with direct U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project experience all work within the same organization.
That range — from sludge management to coastal protection to construction management — is what distinguishes FTG as a uniquely qualified technical specialist on your project team, not just the product supplier.
Conceptual design is where the right geosynthetic system gets specified. Before fabrication begins, FTG offers site-specific technical depth & conceptual designs that consultants, project owners, and contractors depend on to move projects forward.
